INSEAD ETA & Search Funds Hub

The European academic hub for search funds, connecting searchers, investors and advisors across the INSEAD network with an annual conference and active online community.

Description

The most institutionally connected European SF community for searchers with INSEAD ties or looking to build relationships with European investors and operators through an established academic network.

The INSEAD ETA and Search Funds Hub is an institutional initiative run by INSEAD’s Centre for Entrepreneurship, led by Professor Ivana Naumovska who founded and directs the hub. It connects entrepreneurs, investors, board members and business owners across the INSEAD alumni network and the broader European SF community. The hub runs an annual ETA conference at INSEAD’s Fontainebleau campus, most recently hosting over 350 participants, making it one of the largest European SF gatherings. It also maintains an active Telegram group for community members, runs an Entrepreneurs in Residence programme with experienced European searchers and investors including Gernot Eisinger, Simon Webster and José Cabiedes, and publishes a podcast and research on the ETA model. A Singapore conference was added in November 2025.

Why it matters for European searchers

INSEAD sits at the centre of the European SF investor network. The Entrepreneurs in Residence programme provides direct access to experienced investors and operators. The annual conference is a practical opportunity to meet European SF investors, many of whom are active across France, Spain, Germany and the UK. For a non-INSEAD searcher the community is still accessible through the conference and the Telegram group.
